Baleadas

So yesterday I was eating a baleada - flour tortilla and mushy beans with mantequilla.  It was very good.  I finished eating my baleada and then noticed that something was not quite right in my mouth.  Somehow, while eating my very-soft-and-not-crunchy-in-any-way blaeada, I broke one of my teeth!  No pain, just a missing chunk of tooth, which probably ended up in my stomach.

-Ahh!! I thought.

-Am I really so old that my teeth are just falling out?  I mean Debby and Dorian did claim to find a patch of white hair on the back of my head over Christmas (although I personally have not found such a thing) and I have become very scatterbrained and forgetful.  Am I going to go senile at an early age??  What is to become of me?

This was a serious thought.  I decided in the end that, no, my body is not completely falling apart, just my tooth, unfortunate as that is.  I well on my way to recovery from my moment of concern, as is my tooth - thanks to the wonders of dentistry.

This is the first complete month of school - as in the first month of the year where we have four complete weeks of classes without any breaks, vacation, festivals, or other such things (unless the bus drivers decide to strike again).  Well, actually I'm not sure that it really is a complete month since the 10th graders go on their trip to Copan next week and miss Friday, but close enough.  I know I have been spoiled because it's only 2 weeks in and I am looking forward to the next break.   So spoiled.

My roommates and I have been staying up late watching the Olympics, which is bad for the school work, but fun for us.  I miss the snow.  We did have a cold front here at the beginning of the week.  I had to wear a sweater for 3 days straight!  Crazy!

Love to all!

Hello to all, especially my sisters!  I am finally starting my own page.   Exciting!  Right now I can't think of much to write because I am very hungry!  Interesting news of the day here is that there is now a new president in Honduras.  The inaguration was this morning.  He wore a cowboy hat.  Not during the whole thing, but still, he had it on as he came into the stadium.  Anyhow, love to all!
